Gitatoo Man Lives!

I have played this before on Ria’s PS 2. Now I’m playing it on PSP. It’s as addicting as ever! I was able to finish the whole game in one day. The last stage was really hard. Had to repeat more than 10x before clearing it. This game is so much fun. :) :)

Hancock

The trailer wasn’t enough to excite me but the movie was unexpectedly very enjoyable. You have to watch it, guys. Unpredictable, plus the actors were hot. Not bad at all.

23. I’m so old.

It’s ma’ burthday! Thank you people, you know who you are, for the greetings. Much love. :)

I haven’t been able to update this blog for a while. The thing is, this past week has been a transition phase at work and I have never felt so tired in my life. I go home every night with a factotum’s exhaustion. This, my friends, is not gonna go on for long. I am not complaining about the long working hours. As weird as it is, I actually like to work my ass off! But I seriously reckon that my expiration date with my current employer has come. I have been with the company for 2 years and my boss is the nicest boss ever, and my friends there are beyond cool… but I feel the need to get away from all of it. My mind is so fucked up. Must make a decision ASAP.

I will get myself together and I’ll pray that whatever I end up doing, to stay or not to stay, I’d be able to make it work. Or if all else fails, bumming around for a while is not a bad idea either. :)

Again, thank you guys for all the greetings (texts, wall posts, private messages, etc.). Let’s see where this year leads me to.

Moving pictures

I was able to watch 3 movies in 2 weeks’ time. Loved it. Nothing beats the theatre ambiance, but it’s so expensive now! As much as P161. My god. I’m poor, so I think I’ll resort back to torrents and dvds. Better maximize this DSL subscription. LOL.

Anyway, last last week I saw Wanted with Jaypee at the Galleria. Angelina has gotten a bit old (and a bit skinny) but still as HOT as ever.  After Wanted, I rushed to Gateway and met up with Danielle and Nikki (she has straight hair now, I noticed) and we watched Get Smart, which was as expected, very funny and entertaining. Steve Carell is a riot!

Danielle and I planned to watch My Monster Mom (yes, the Annabelle Rama movie) but suddenly she was going to watch it with her highschool friends last Friday. She was inviting me to tag along but I had an office meeting which dragged on for 2 hours so I had to bail out. (Btw, fuck that meeting.) Yesterday, I found out that my Tita wants to see it, too. So I went along (free everything, ya know). The story line was tolerable and the punchlines were right on the spot most of the time, but after the movie, I felt the urge to have my ears checked out. Rama’s high-pitched voice was just too much to bear. And she was on-screen 97% of the time, so go figure. For me the most funny about My Monster Mom was that Rama’s facial expression never changes all through out, whether she’s happy, sad, mad, or whatever.  LOL.

Ting ting ting!

I have downloaded this:
album cover

I still don’t know what to make of it. Have to listen to it one of these days. That’s Not My Name causes major LSS.

Cousin Steffi added me on Friendster. Kinda surprised me. I didn’t know she knows I exist. LOL. She lives with my sister in Florida. Last time she was here was like 10 years ago. She looks so Pinay!

People, add me on Skype, too. (username: tessadeleon)

Also, I am looking for a new job. So hook me up. :)

I saw the fight between Pacquiao and Diaz over the Internet live streaming. Ah, Internet… talk about being convenient. Congrats to Manny! 4 belts!

pinoy idol

Holy motherf*cker. One of the only 3 reasons why I watch this show has been booted out last Sunday. Mae Flores is out. Yes, PI is sub par in many aspects but I make an effort to watch it coz some contestants, believe it or not, go it in my opinion. I nearly hyperventilated when I found out that Sue Ellen was not even at the bottom 3. To think that she gave the worst performance last Saturday. It was horrible. BEYOND horrible. But why am I complaining? I don’t even vote. I have no right to whine about the results, really. But if Robby and Penelope get eliminated, I’m done with PI.

NAh.

It would be impossible to be absent from work now. Danielle, we can’t go to Katipunan. Find some weed first. LOL. No, I’m not kidding. We need some serious high. Maybe I’d be able to think my life through.

As random as it could get

HELLO there. Wow, I’m on a roll blogging, ain’t I? I don’t usually blog everyday. Anyway, Brenda yesterday was asking if we’ll have office today. WTF. Then at 8am today she texted to ask again. What, are we in highschool? How many times did office get suspended due to rain? I wish. With all my heart. But that just never happens, unless trees are flying around already. Brenda! Stop being so lazy! It’s not even raining now!

Jay of IT added me on YM. LOL. I’m not supposed to have YM. Not while I’m at work (though Boss is ok with it). Hmm.. so all of you on my YM contact list, I most probably won’t be online Mondays-Fridays, 10am-6pm. LOL. But anyway, that remains to be seen. And by the way, Jay, if ever you’re reading this, there’s a bunch of UMPC’s coming out which I think are even better than the one you wanted (EEE 900). Waiting is the hardest part, though. LOL.

Pinoy’s “Idol”

I am writing this from ScribeFire. Not really doing anything on a boring and rainy Saturday afternoon. We don’t have cable right now coz for the nth time I forgot to pay the bill. Now I’m stuck with the local channels again. So later, when my eyes start to water from staring at my pc monitor all day, as if it would help, I will revert to TV.

I will give Pinoy Idol a second chance now that they’ve trimmed down to 12 so-so contestants. When I first saw the show 2 weeks ago, I was depressed with almost everything about it. The overweight host, the judges, the stage, the audience, the contestants. It felt like everything was rushed. They definitely could have chosen a better host than Raymond. He doesn’t have to host every show on GMA, does he? He lacks warmth and could not empathize with the contestants even if his life depended on it.

The judges, well, my eyebrow shot up when Jolina was named one of the judges. Everybody’s eyebrow shot up. Yes, she has been in the business for YEARS but I dunno, she just doesn’t sound credible. LOL. If I were a contestant, I don’t think I’d take her comments seriously even if what she says is true, you know what I mean? I don’t think she’s earned enough merit to judge a talent show. Her career is like an airplane which kept running on the runway but never really took off.

Also, the contestants need MAJOR improvement. They’re gunning for the title Idol? Really? They better get it together. Most of the performances made me cringe. I said most, coz one of them (from the boys) could actually sing and was sane enough to choose a song that fitted him. I forgot who it was, though. LOL. And by the way, talking about the boys, I remember this trying hard “rocker” who, on his video clip he said that Michael Jackson was one of his idols and influences since he was a kid. And then he went on to sing Billy Jean - the David Cook version. How original, really. It was so obvious that he made up all this MJ idolatry shit just to be able to sing David C.’s Billy Jean. What a shithead.

If I’m not mistaken, GMA 7 plugs Pinoy Idol as the very first Idol franchise in the Philippines. What a turn-off. And I thought GMA was the better station. I watched Philippine Idol before and I have to say, GMA’s idol pales in comparison.

EDIT: 8:30pm

Yeah I’m back to give an update. Like I said, I went ahead and watched Pinoy Idol. So here’s what I think now:

Stage: They got a bigger one at their new venue, which looks a lot better.

Judges: I sill don’t like Jolina. And now I’m not so sure about Ogie as well. I think there’s something wrong with his ears.

Contestants: I must admit, of all the things, I am most pleased on how much they have improved overall coz at the end of the day, it’s all about them. But the actual singing, out of the 12, I only liked 3 (Robby, Penelope, and Mae).

Raymond: Hmm…is he gay?

I will definitely watch out for this.
